For around US$150 a night you can get a great room in Tokyo. Here are my favorite mid-budget hotels in Tokyo, all personally inspected.
Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo
The mid-range is the real sweet spot in Tokyo accommodation. If you're willing to spend around US$150 (Y17,000) a night, there are lots of comfortable and well-located hotels in Tokyo. Here is my very subjective list of the best mid-range and business hotels in Tokyo. Be sure to check my Where to Stay in Tokyo page before deciding where to stay. The hotels listed here are all great choices, so your decision should be based largely on where you want to be based. These are listed in order of preference.
